General rehearsal of Delusion of the Fury at the National Theatre. A production by Heiner Goebbels. Reservation required (max.25): academy@ultima.no

Composer, music theorist, instrument maker, and outsider: Harry Partch’s differentness and creative energy have made him a source of inspiration and a legend in contemporary music and beyond.Delusion of The Fury from 1969 was his final work, and contains all his microtonal and harmonically challenging trademarks – all performed on one set of instruments.

The German ensemble musikFabrik and director and International Ibsen Award winner Heiner Goebbels have reconstructed Partch’s entire fleet of instruments and will perform the work as a theatrical piece. One week after its world premiere at Ruhrtriennale, this unique performance is coming to Ultima and the National Theatre. In collaboration with the National Theatre.

Premiere 12.9
